Description
This handmade pair of hickory inn tables is a true example of reclaimed craftsmanship—where discarded materials are given a second life and transformed into functional art. The tabletops and hand-carved legs are crafted from reclaimed hickory flooring, while the bases are built from reclaimed yellow pine, both salvaged from former homes and rescued from what would have otherwise been landfill waste.
Each table stands 28½ inches tall, with generously sized 14″ x 24″ tops and solid 14¾” x 15¼” bases, making them ideal as side tables, accent tables, or statement pieces in living rooms, bedrooms, or entryways. The legs are intentionally slender and sculpted by hand, creating a striking visual contrast that plays with perception—appearing delicate while easily supporting weight thanks to hickory’s exceptional strength. That subtle optical illusion is part of what makes these tables such compelling conversation pieces.
Finished with a hickory stain to highlight the natural grain variations and character marks, each piece is sealed with two coats of Rubio Monocoat for a durable, low-sheen finish that protects the wood while preserving its organic feel. Adjustable furniture levelers are installed on both bases to ensure stability on uneven floors.
No two tables are exactly alike. Knots, grain shifts, and reclaimed imperfections are not flaws—they’re part of the story. This pair brings warmth, sustainability, and unmistakable rustic charm into any space, perfect for those who value craftsmanship, material history, and one-of-a-kind design.
